IT MANAGEMENT & ADVISORY · STAMFORD, CT

Better decisions.
Stronger IT.

Your technology decisions affect how people work, what the business risks, and where money goes. Fulcrum brings those decisions together through hands-on IT management and clear technical guidance.

01 / SERVICES

Expertise where your systems connect.

An account change can affect email, devices, files, and business applications. Our work considers those dependencies across your environment.

IT operations & user support

Remote troubleshooting, on-site support when needed, and ongoing maintenance for covered devices. Monitoring alerts feed into service tickets, with technician response governed by the agreed service hours and priority.

Microsoft 365

Administer users, licenses, shared mailboxes, domains, and access policies across your tenant. Coordinate Exchange Online, Entra ID, SharePoint, and OneDrive so employee changes and security decisions are handled consistently.

Security & access

Coordinate endpoint protection, multifactor authentication, and licensed Microsoft 365 security controls. Configure email authentication through SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, and review administrative privileges and access policies.

Backup & recovery

Scope managed backup for Microsoft 365 mail, OneDrive, and SharePoint separately from routine synchronization. Define the data covered, retention requirements, and recovery procedures around business priorities.

Network infrastructure

Trace unreliable connections across Wi‑Fi, switches, firewalls, and internet service. Plan coverage, segmentation, and failover around the applications and locations your team depends on.

Apple & Windows management

Bring Macs and PCs into a consistent operating process. Enrollment, configuration, updates, and replacement planning help keep devices supportable throughout their working life.

02 / OUR APPROACH

Put the right effort in the right place.

A fulcrum determines where effort has the greatest effect. That principle guides our work. We consider business impact, technical dependencies, and budget together when recommending what to change and when.

  1. Establish the factsReview the systems, access arrangements, and recurring problems within the agreed scope. Identify dependencies and gaps before recommending changes.
  2. Make the tradeoffs explicitExplain the cost, operational impact, and consequences of each option. Separate immediate needs from improvements that can be planned over time.
  3. Carry the decision into operationAgree on the scope, schedule, and operational tests. Coordinate specialist vendors where needed, review the finished work with your team, and document outstanding items at handoff.

SERVICE & ACCOUNTABILITY

A clear operating relationship.

Define what is covered, how decisions are made, and what successful delivery looks like.

ONGOING MANAGEMENT

Coverage you can understand.

Identify the devices, tenant, users, and locations in scope. Establish support hours, escalation priorities, and maintenance responsibilities. Hardware, licensing, and additional services are identified in the proposal.

TECHNOLOGY PLANNING

A roadmap with a review date.

Scheduled technology reviews bring recurring issues, vendor changes, security recommendations, and upcoming projects into one conversation. Use that review to set priorities and plan the next period’s investment.

PROJECT DELIVERY

Defined scope. Verified operation.

Migrations, installations, and expansion work receive their own scope and estimate. Plan downtime and dependencies before work begins, approve scope changes, and confirm the agreed operational tests before sign-off.

03 / WHEN TO BRING US IN

The questions behind the work.

These are examples of the decisions we can help you work through.

MICROSOFT 365 & INFORMATION

“Our files keep growing. What should we keep, move, or archive?”

Consider how information is used, who needs access, and what it costs to store. An archiving decision should account for retrieval and retention requirements as well as capacity.

INFRASTRUCTURE & CONTINUITY

“We have a backup connection. Will the office keep working?”

Look beyond the connection itself to routing, firewalls, and application dependencies. Define the failure scenario and what a meaningful failover test would need to prove.

PEOPLE & ACCESS

“Someone is leaving. What needs to happen to their access and data?”

Coordinate account access, active sessions, devices, mailbox handling, and file ownership. A defined departure process helps preserve business information while closing access.

04 / WORKING TOGETHER

Before we begin.

What does an initial conversation cover?

We discuss the problem or change prompting your inquiry, your current support arrangements, and the systems involved. From there, we can define whether the next step is a focused assessment, a project, or ongoing support.

Can you work alongside our internal IT team?

Yes. A defined area of responsibility can help when your team needs additional expertise or delivery capacity. We agree on ownership, administrative access, and escalation paths before starting.

Will we need to replace our existing systems?

Recommendations depend on the condition, supportability, and business fit of what you have. Existing investments are part of the assessment. Any proposed replacement should have a clear operational or financial rationale.

How are scope and pricing established?

We consider the environment, required work, support expectations, and dependencies. The proposal defines covered services and costs. Hardware, licensing, migrations, and other project work are identified separately. Additional work requires an agreed scope and price.
